Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnosis value of TP-ELISA for detecting syphilis. Methods The serum samples from 60 patients with syphilis and 50 healthy individuals were detected by TPPA and TP-ELISA; TPPA was used as a reference test. Results There was no significant difference in the test results between TP-ELISA and TPPA (P>0.05). Two tests had excellent consistency (Kw = 0.854). The sensitivity of TP-ELISA was 90%, specificity was 96.8%, positive predictive value was 97.2%, and negative predictive value was 88.77%. Conclusions The test results of TP-ELISA for detecting syphilis are generally consistent with those of TPPA. TP-ELISA is an ideal test for clinical screening and suitable for large sample detection.关键词
