Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of simvastatin and captopril on heart function and hemodynamics of diabetic rats. Methods Diabetic rats were randomly divided into control group, simvastatin group, captopril group, and simvastatin + captopril group. Rats in control group were given placebo, rats in simvastatin group received simvastatin(15 mg/kg/d), rats in captopril group were given captopril(2 mg/kg), and rats in captopril + simvastatin group received captopril(15 mg/kg/d) and simvastatin(2 mg/kg) for 4 weeks. Then, parameters of rat hemodynamics and heart function were measured. Results No significant difference was observed in LVEDP between simvastatin + captopril and control groups. The maxium increased speed of LVEDP was higher while the maxium reduced speed was lower in simvastatin + captopril group than in control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion Combined captopril and simvastatin can significantly improve the heart function of diabeteic rats.关键词
