Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy and safety of combined narrow band-ultraviolet B(NB-UVB) and tazarrotene gel in treatment of psoriasis vulgaris. Methods Two hundred and forty patients with psoriasis vulgaris were divided into groups A, B and C, 80 patients in each group. Patients in group A were treated with combined NB-UVB radiation(once a day) and topical tazarrotene gel cream in the evening. Patients in group B were treated with topical tazarrotene gel cream in the evening, and patients in group C received treatment with NB-UVB radiation, once every other day for 8 weeks. Results The effective rate was 82.9%, 62.8% and 73.3% for the 3 groups, respectively. The distinction of PASI score in 3 groups was significantly different before and after treatment (P＜0.05). The effective rate of combined NB-UVB radiation and topical tazarrotene gel cream was the highest followed by that of topical tazarrotene gel and NB-UVB radiation(P＜0.05). Only mild erythemas and itching were observed in the 3 groups during the treatment and no severe side effect occurred. Conclusion Combined NB-UVB and tazarrotene gel is effective and safe in treatment of psoriasis vulgaris.关键词
