Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To provide new reference material and basis for the study and utilization of Rhizoma hedychii. METHODS: Pharmacognosy was used for the identification of original plant, characteristics identification and microscopic identification of Rhizoma hedychii, which was the rhizome of Hedychium genus of the Zingiberaceae: Hedychium forrestii. GC-MS was used for analysis of volatile oil. RESULTS: The vascular bundles were collateral type and scattered, its stele and cortex had oil cells, and thin-walled cells contained starch grains and calcium oxalate crystals. The main volatile oil components were β-pinene, α-pinene,eucalyptol and α-terpineol, 4-terpineol, etc. CONCLUSION: Hedychium genus of the Zingiberaceae: H. forrestii is a new plant origin of Rhizoma hedychii.关键词
