Abstract
A four-cylinder diesel engine of one yacht was studied. The changes of cylinder pressure, temperature and NOx emission were calculated when the diesel engine fueled with dimethyl ether (DME) based on the software of STAR-CD, and compared them with that from diesel fuel combustion. In addition, the NOx emission characteristics at different loads and different nozzle diameters when fueled with DME were analyzed. The results show that the dynamic performance of the engine is slightly declined within 2% when fueled with DME.And its NOx emission is about 15% lower than that of the diesel engine, this will provide a basis for developing the DME engine of the yacht.关键词
