Abstract

The pyrolysis behaviors of rice straw based on thermogravimetric analysis were investigated under nitrogen atmosphere. The kinetic parameters were determined during pyrolysis by studying on the influences of the heating rate, kinds of molten salts and mass ratio of molten salt to rice straw. The results showed that the initial pyrolysis temperature, the temperature corresponding to maximum weight loss peak and pyrolysis terminal temperature increased with the increasing heating rate, and thermal lagging caused became serious, the yield of char tended to decrease slightly which indicated that the high heating rate could restrain the formation of char. The impact of molten salt on pyrolysis behaviors of rice straw was significant, the area of main weight loss became narrower, and the final temperature decreased. The maximum temperature of weight loss varied obviously. The effect of mass ratio of molten salt to biomass was remarkable, and the maximum temperature decreased to 280.7 ℃ when the ratio was 1:1, it shifted to high temperature with the increasing of the ratios. The Multistage integration was adopted to model the pyrolysis of rice straw in TG.
