Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of satisfaction with neonatal sex on postpartum hemorrhage. Methods 357 puerperants with single birth and normal labor were divided into satisfaction group and dissatisfaction group according to the satisfaction degree with neonatal sex. The labor process was recorded; the amount of intrapartum hemorrhage and the amount of hemorrhage 2 hours and 24 hours after parturition, as well as the ratio of postpartum hemorrhage were measured accurately and compared. Results The results showed that in two groups, the labor process and the amount of intrapartum hemorrhage were not significantly different (P＞0.05), while the amount of hemorrhage 2 hours and 24 hours after parturition in dissatisfaction group were significantly more than that in satisfaction group (P＜0.05). There was significant difference about the ratio of hemorrhage between two groups (P＜0.05). Conclusion It indicates that the satisfaction degree with neonatal sex has important effect on both the amount and ratio of postpartum hemorrhage. Psychological education is recommended so as to decrease the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage.关键词
