Prediction and analysis for new potential rice cold regulated proteins based on bioinformatic method

Abstract
Cold regulated protein is a kind of protein associated with cold resistant ability of plants. There are many types of cold regulated proteins in plant. However, very few cold regulated proteins from rice have been found recently. We have predicted 16 new potential cold regulated proteins in rice by bioinformatics methods as well as using the cold regulated proteins which have been found as probes. And then the structural domains, secondary structures, tertiary structures and amino acid compositions of these above proteins have also been predicted using these online programs, such as NCBI-conserved domains, SWISS-MODEL and ExPASY ProtParam tool. The bioinformatical analysis results show that the 16 new potential rice cold regulated proteins and other cold regulated proteins have the same basic structural characteristics and structural domains, implying that the 16 new proteins might belong to rice cold regulated protein family.关键词
