Abstract

Based on the genetic linkage maps of Brassica napus L.established by our laboratory, QTLs for oil content difference between two environments were detected using composite interval mapping model.The mapping populations, SWU-1 and SWU-2, were planted in Wanzhou, Chongqing with high latitude and Beibei, Chongqing with low latitude in 2005, which contained 188 and 219 recombinant inbred lines, respectively.In the SWU-1 population, two difference QTLs were located in the linkage groups 2 and 7, which explained 10.31%–12.45% of the phenotypic variation each.In the SWU-2 population, three difference QTLs were located in linkage groups 8 and 14, and a single QTL explained 6.60%–10.58% of the phenotypic variation.The oil content difference of genotypes ranged from 0 to 18.66% with coefficient of variation of 58.24%.This indicates the presence of environment-insensitive QTLs associated with oil content in rapeseed genotypes.In both environments, no visible linkage relationship was observed between QTLs for oil content difference and the QTLs for oil content.Therefore, it is inferred that sensitive and insensitive genes to environment might have a different genetic expression system to oil synthesis genes in Brassica napus.
