摘要

Abstract

The diskibution of ORF' number with its length was analyzed in genome of Saccharomyces cerevisiae based on the data from NCBI. Studies of the statistical characteristics show that the distribution has obvious regulations. According to the characteristics of the distribution, a hypothesis that this kind of distrihution is Γ( α , β) distribution was proposed by Compared with other distribution models . Furthermore , the result that the number of protein coding sequences is 5870 was given by Γ( α,β) distribution. These results have the certain reference value to gene annotation.
