Improved Frame Synchronization Scheme for DVB-S2 Receiver

Abstract
Frame synchronization is the basis of DVB-S2 demodulation. With the comprehensive study and comparison of the existing methods,this paper presents an improved frame synchronization scheme for DVB-S2 system based on pilot symbols correlation and double-peak detection.The proposed scheme reduces the false synchronization probability significantly with relatively lower computational complexity in contrast to the existing methods, which is evaluated by extensive experiments. In addition, it can acquire frame synchronization rapidly and correctly even under the worst channel condition specified by DVB-S2 standard (5 MHz frequency offset and -2.35 dB signal-to-noise ratio).关键词
