Recent Progress on Verticillium Wilt on Olive and Its Resistance Breeding
摘要
Abstract
Verticillium Wilt caused by a soil-borne fungus Verticillium dahliae is one of the most serious diseases of olive (Olea europaea) worldwide, resulting in reduced yields and tree death. The pathogen has a wide range of the hosts and can be dormant in the body in the form of micro-sclerotia in the soil and survived for a long time, making it difficult or impossible to be controlled and prevented. Advances were summarized on olive Verticillium Wilt from the aspects of symptoms and mechanism of Verticillium pathogenicity, characteristics of pathogen infection, factors influencing disease development, olive resistance breeding against Verticillium Wilt and so on.关键词
