Abstract
Based on the theory of operating speed, the relationship between speed and traffic safety were studied after investigating the actual operating speed and traffic accident. The results show that the actual operating speed and operating speed variation were greater, the higher traffic accident rate will be. In addition, a safety assessment was applied to the whole highway section according the relationship of speed variation and traffic safety.关键词
