Abstract
It is an important part of energy development strategy in China to utilize Southwest hydropower actively and properly.The installed capacities of current hydropower plants are generally large and the annual utilization hours are decreasing continuously.Installed capacity of hydropower plants should based on the balance between plant itself and served power system.While most hydropower plants serve the demand of local provinces, some serve in east provinces faraway through long distance transmission lines.Power demand of provinces has distinct features, and has different requirement for hydropower plant capacity.In addition to technical and economic indices of plant itself, the installed capacity should consider its function in served power systems and related transmission projects.It is not advisable to reduce the annual utilization hours for those power plants which have the need to transmit generated power to the east provinces.关键词
