Abstract

The 2,5-diphenylethynylthiophene(DPET) with β-cyclodextrin was prepared in inclusion compound. The ratio of DPET to cyclodetrin, the temperature and the time of reaction as the dominating factors were optimized by orthogonal experiment. The results showed that the yield of DPET inclusion compound with β-cyclodextrin was more than 60% when the mass ratio of DPET to cyclodextirn was 1: 40 and the reaction was under 40-60℃ for 0. 5-2 hours. The half life of DPET was 11:08 min under ultraviolet while it extended to 4.63 h for DPET β-cyclodextrin inclusion compound. The bioactivity of the compound was evaluated with the third-instar larvae of Plutella xylostella L. Pretreated with ultraviolet, DPET β-cyclodextrin inclusion compound showed higher activity than DPET, which indicated that the inclusion compound with β-cyclodextrin could retard the DPETs decompositon under light.
