Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the unipolar radial head prosthetic replacement in treatment of Mason type Ⅲ , Ⅳ radial head fractures.Methods Radial head prosthesis replacement were used to treat 15 cases of Mason type Ⅲ , Ⅳ radial head fractures.Results All cases were followed up for 6 ～ 30 months.According to the elbow functional evaluation criteria by Mayo, excellent results were found in 9 cases, good in 5 and fair in 1.No case got infection.Conclusions Radial head plays an important role in maintain elbow and the distal radioulnar joint stability, and if it can not be repaired, prosthetic replacement is the better choice.关键词
