Abstract
Objective To assess the treatment results of Mason type-Ⅲ and type-Ⅳ radial head fractures with absorbable screws and rods.Methods 21 patients with Mason type-Ⅲ and type-Ⅳ radial head fractures were treated with open reduction and internal fixation using absorbable screws and rods.Results The patients were followed for 5 ～ 35 months with an average of 20.5 ±9.6 months.According to Broberg and Morrey elbow scale, the results were rated as 6 excellent, 13 good, and 2 fair.Conclusions The use of absorbable screws and rods is practical and effective in the treatment of Mason type- Ⅲ and type- Ⅳ radial head fractures, which eliminates the need of a second operation.关键词
