摘要

Abstract

The adsorption of strontium ions by diatomate was investigated under the different adsorption conditions. The results of the study showed that the diatomate has some abilities to adsorb strontium ions from solution. PH value of the solution was an important factor for both solution chemistry of metals and adsorbent. The adsorption capacity of diatomate with strontium ions was better in acid condition. The removal rate risen as the dosage ofdiatomate increased, and declined as the concentration of strontium ions increased. While, the adsorption capacity declined as the dosage of diatomate increased, and risen as the concentration of strontium ions increased. The kinetics research indicated that the adsorption of strontium ions by diatomate was a rapid process. The removal rate and adsorption capacity could reach 95% of adsorption equilibrium in 60min. The experimental results were fitted well to the pseudo second-order kinetics equation.
