口腔医师与非专业人士对上颌中切牙美学变化敏感性的比较

Abstract
Objective The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of lay people and dental professionals with respect to minor variations in anterior tooth.Methods Smiling photographs were intentionally altered with one of five common anterior esthetic discrepancies in varying degrees of deviation including crown length,incisor crown angulation, and open gingival embrasure.The images were randomized in a questionnaire and rated according to attractiveness by two groups:dentists and lay people.Results Average values of Dentist group which they evaluate unattractively:Unilateral maxillary anterior tooth of 5 degrees, 5 degrees bilaterally;crown length increased more than 0.5mm or 0.5mm shorter; open gingival embrasure more than 2mm.Average values of lay people group were 7.5 degrees unilateraly,7.5degrees bilaterlly, 0.5mm, 1mm,and 3mm respectively.The Dentist group could detect 2.5 degree change in maxillary central incisor;0.5mm with increase of crown length,0.5mm with decrease of crown length and 1mm with open gingival embrasure.In the non-professional group, it was 5 degrees,0.5mm,0.5mm and 2mm respectively.The sensitivity to identify changes on incisor crown angulation and open gingival embrasure was different in two groups;however that was not significant difference on crown length.Conclusion The results of this study show that dentist and lay people detect specific dental esthetic discrepancies at varying levels of deviation, which may aid the dental professional in making specific treatment recommendations.关键词
