The protective effect of EGCG on hydrogen peroxide induced SH-SY5Y cell injury

Abstract
Aim To investigate the protective effect of EGCG on hydrogen peroxide induced SH-SY5Y cells injury in vitro.Methods The protective effect of EGCG was observed by morphological identification,MTT assay, and LDH activity, while the expressions of bax and bcl-2 were detected by real-time PCR.Results Compared with the group of H202 control, EGCG( 50, 100 , 150 , 200 μ mol· L -1 )could relieve the damage of SH-SY5Y cells and increase the survival of the cells,lower their LDH level, and adjust the expression of bax and bcl-2 mRNA.Conclusion EGCG can protect SH-SY5Y cells from the injury induced by hydrogen peroxide.关键词
