Abstract
Information industry and sustainable development emerge as the times require under the common background, interact upon each other and work like an organic unity. Information industry has significantly positive effects on sustainable development, such as contributing to economic development, reducing human and goods circulation thus improving efficiency of resource allocation through the development and application of information technology, rationaly utilizing natural resources, doing real-time monitoring to environmental changes, and reducing energy and material consumptions by dematerialization, etc. At the same time, information industry, for its inherent particularity, is uncoordinated with sustainable development in some aspects, such as information security and information pollution, application of toxic elements in electronic products, electromagnetic radiation and influence on human body, etc.Finally, this paper puts forward that information industry plays an important role in promoting sustainable development of soviety and economy, energetically developing information industry is an inevitable choice for China's industrial structure adjustment, and the only path leading to sustainable development is advancing information industry under the guidance of sustainable development strategy,promoting sustainable development of other industries through information industry and improving utilization and management level of resources and environment.关键词
