Abstract
Objective: To investigate the AIDS- related knowledge, attitude and behaviors in vocational students. Method: A correlative - descriptive design was used for the study. A cluster sampling of 800 vocational students in 4 colleges of Shaanxi was selected. Results: It showed that ( 1 ) The general scores of knowledge questionnaire were 68.06 ± 7.04 ( 2 ) The general scores of attitude questionnaire were 25.71 ± 3.46 ( 3 ) The percentage of those who had hug and kiss with opposite sex was 38.6％, the percentage of those who had sexual relations was 11.9％, the percentage of those who didnt use condoms in the first sexual relations was 77.9％ (4 ) The AIDS -related knowledge comes mainly from film (41.8％), newspapers / magazines (37.7％); students' most acceptable approaches to AIDS -related knowledge were TV / film (44.6％), friends / classmates (41.7％), vocational students influenced by peers on knowledge of AIDS; ( 5 ) There were positive relationships between knowledge and attitude, the marginal sex, sexual relations and using condoms during first sex respectively ( P ＜ 0.01 ). Conclusion: AIDS knowledge level among vocational students is not high, while there is a general lack of proper understanding of AIDS. It is suggested to strengthen the health education on AIDS in vocational students, and carry out appropriate peer education.关键词
