Abstract
Objective To analyze the correlation between factual recollection (FR) and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) for patients in intensive care unit (ICU).Methods Involving 116 ICU postsurgical patients, the study included a standardized questionnaire applied to evaluate all patients' FR.Five months after discharging from ICU, patients' HRQOL was evaluated with the Chineseversion 36-item Short-form Health Survey (SF-36).Results The score of FR in male patients was (7.25±2.1) while that in female patients was (5.15±2.32).The difference was highly statistically significant (P＜0.05).HRQOL of female patients was significantly worse compared with that of male patients (P＜O.05), especially in the aspect of mental health.Analysis revealed that FR was positively related with HRQOL (r=0.297, P＜O.05).Conclusion FR of female patients was significantly worse than that of male patients.The same is tree to women' s HROOL five months after ICU discharge, mainly in mental health.For ICU patients ,FR may influence subsequent HRQOL significantly.关键词
