Popularization and Application of Appropriate TCM Technology in Diagnosing and Treating Cough-Related Diseases of Children

Abstract
Objective To study the mode and efficacy of popularization and application of appropriate traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM ) technology in diagnosing and treating cough - related diseases of children in Guangxi basic units so as to provide practical experience and theoretical basis for the promotion of appropriate technology in our primary healthcare. Methods From March 2008 to July 2010, we had applied and disseminated appropriate TCM technology in diagnosing and treating cough - related diseases of children in Guangxi basic units, trained grassroots medical personnel and given personal instructions at the scene; then created questionnaire for collecting relevant data before and after training, and carried on statistic analysis with SPSS 17. 0. Results The multiple linear regression analysis showed that work experience, educational background, present profession, participation of TCM training, skills of TCM diagnosis and treatment before training of the trained physicians affected training effectiveness ( P ＜0. 05 ). Ridit analysis demonstrated that after training the trained personnel showed good results in grasping degree, clinical skills application level, satisfaction of effective degree, satisfaction of grassroots application of the knowledge technology ( P ＜ 0. 05 ) . Conclusion Good results have been achieved in promoting appropriate TCM technology in diagnosing and treating cough -related diseases of children in Guangxi basic units, and the mode of technology promotion is practical and instructional.关键词
