Abstract
To improve the thermal shock resistance (TSR) of Cr203-A12O3 castable, ZrO2 micro-powder (ZM) was added into Cr203-AI203 castable. The effect of ZM on the smtering and TSR of Cr203-A1203 castable was investigated by elasticity modulus tester, X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope and mercury porosimeter. The results show that the ZM can promote the sintering of Cr203-Al203 castable. When the addition of ZrO2 is between 1% and 3% (in mass, the same below), the TSR of Cr203-AI203 castable increases without impairing its mechanical strength. When the addition of ZrO2 is between 4% and 5%, however, the TSR of Cr2O3-AI203 castable increases, while causing the mechanical strength decreases obviously.关键词
