Effect of pH Value on Synthesis of Bi2WO6 Powders by Microwave Hydrothermal Method and Photocatalytic Properties

Abstract
The flower-like and plate-like Bi2WO6 powders were synthesized using Na2WO4·2H2O and Bi(NO3)3·5H2O as raw materials via a microwave hydrothermal method at 200 ℃ through changing the pH value. The Bi2WO6 powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, selected area electron diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscope. The photocatalytic properties of the Bi2WO6 powders prepared under different pH values were also investigated. The results indicate that the pH value has a great effect on the phase composition, morphology and photocatalyfic property of Bi2WO6 powders. The optimum photocatalytic property of the plate-like Bi2WO6 powder synthesized at pH =9.5 is found and the decolorization rate of rhodamine B reaches 95% at 3 h under mercury lamp irradiation.关键词
