Removal of Organic Matter in Huangpu River Raw Water with Magnetic Ion Exchange Resin (MIEX(R)) Process

Abstract
Treatment of raw water from Huangpu River was carried out by a pilot test of magnetic ion exchange resin (MIEX(○R)). The results show when bed volume is 300 BV and 800 BV, the removal rate of COD is 36 % and 32 %, respectively. The removal rate of UV254 is 53 % and 61% on average, respectively. 64 % removal rate of color is achieved. Turbidity increases little. After integrated treatment of MIEX~and coagulation, residual CODMn is 2.6 mg/L on average, which meets national drinking water standard. The cost of MIEX is about 0.16 yuan/m3.关键词
