Abstract
Objective In order to provide evidence for early diagnosis, prognosis prediction and new treatment of lung cancer,we analyze the immune escape of the Fas/FasL system in the carcinogenesis and progress of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods Immunohisochemistry (IHC) method was used to determine the expression of Fas/FasL protein in NSCLC and normal lung tissues; CD45RO antibody and TUNEL technique were used to detect the tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and apoptosis respectively. Results Fas expression was found to be significantly reduced in cancer tissues, and it was correlated with the degree of tissue differentiation.There was a high level of FasL expression in cancer tissues. The expression rate of FasL was correlated with the cell type and lymph node metastasis, and negatively correlated with TIL infiltration degree. Fas expression had no association with the apoptosis level of cancer cells. Conclusion Reduced or absent expression of Fas and increased FasL expression are common in NSCLC tissues, which leads to the escape of cancer cells from immunosurveillance and thus the carcinogenesis and development of NSCLC.关键词
