Abstract
Aim To investigate the effects of kaempferol on the inhibition of the proliferation of human prostate cancer PC-3 cells. Methods MTT assays, cell counting ancl flow cytometry were performecl to investigate the effects of kaempferol on proliferation and apoptosis of PC -3 cells. Western blot assays were performed to analyze the expression of PCNA and VCAM -1. Results Kaempferol inhibited proliferation of PC-3 cells, and decreased the expression of PCNA and VCAM-I. Kaempferol induced S and G2/M phase cell cycle arrest to PC-3 cells, but did not significantly affect apoptosis. Conclusion Kaempferol induces S and G2/M phase cell cycle arrest ancl inhibits proliferation of PC-3 cells via down-regulation of PCNA and VCAM-1.关键词
