Abstract
Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of laparoscopic - assisted distal gastrectomy ( LADG ) and open gastrectomy ( OG ) in treating gastric cancer. Methods Totally 90 patients were divided into two groups based on their preferred surgical modes: LADG group ( n = 51 ) and OG group ( n = 39 ). Clinical outcomes of these two groups were compared. Results The operational duration, surgical margin, and lymph nodes resected were not significantly different between these two groups ( allP＞ 0. 05 ) . The intra - operative blood loss and postoperative analgesic usage were significantly smaller in LADG group ( bothP ＜ 0. 05 ) . The time to ambulate and the postoperative duration of hospital stay were significantly shorter in LADG group ( bothP＜0. 05 ). The incidence of postoperative complications, postoperative follow - up, relapse rate, and tumor — related mortality rate showed no significant differences ( allP＞ 0. 05 ), while the postoperative survival rate was significantly higher in LADG group ( P ＜ 0. 05 ) . Conclusion LADG can achieve the effectiveness of OG with less trauma, higher postoperative survival rate, and shorter duration of hospital stay.关键词
