Abstract
Objective To investigate therapeutic effects of acupuncture and moxibustion in treating irregular menses of anovulia type. Methods Sixty-three patients of irregular menses were treated with acupuncture and moxibustion for 3 courses of treatment. The levels of estradiol (E2), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) were compared before and after treatment. The number of egg chamber and the size of dominant follicle were also observed by ultrasonic monitoring before and after treatment.Results Egg chambers with more than 15 mm diameter were more than those before treatment (P＜0.01). The levels of E2 showed an increasing tendency, and the levels of FSH and LH had significant differences before and after treatment (P＜0.05). Forty-nine patients were cured, accounting for 77.8 ％, 10 improved, accounting for 15.9％, and 4 ineffective, accounting for 6. 3％. The total effective rate was 93. 7％. Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion has good effects in treating irregular menses of anovulia type via promoting ovulation.关键词
