Overview on Experimental Animal Model of Gout and Therapeutic Characteristics of Gout with Traditional Chinese Medicine

Abstract
Objective:To explore the established methods and characteristics of gout animal models, and discuss the advantages of Chinese medicine treatment on gout. Methods: By using the method of review of systems, we analyzed the established methods and characteristics of the gout animal models, and summarized the fields of the models used in. Simultaneously, we review the common therapeutic methods and prescription of gout with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, and listed each advantage and disadvantage. Results: Some deficiencies existed in gout animal models, accordingly multiple etiological factors of gout should be used in establishing the animal models. Traditional Chinese medicine has remarkable superiority on treating gout. Conclusion:The condition of the gout animal models could be improved by using multiple etiological factors, and the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine on prevention and treatment on gout could be improved by emphasis on Chinese herb clinical research.关键词
