Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of vacuum sealing drainage ( VSD ) on sacral ulcer. Methods Twenty sacral ulcer patients admitted from March 2008 to June 2010 underwent surgical debridement. VSD dressing was used to cover the wounds, suction apparatus to perform suction therapy for 6 ～ 8 d, and another operation carried out after removal of dressings. Results Five patients had direct suture healing after 1 ～ 3 VSD treatments, 15 had transfer of skin flaps and the repairs were good after 2 ～3 VSD treatments. Conclusion VSD, which can remove wound secretions and necrotic tissues and stimulate granulation to grow, not only relieve pains of dressing change, but reduce medical staff's working time. This technology is easy to grasp, thus to make treatment and nursing easier.关键词
