ROS介导的自噬及其在相关疾病中的作用
ROS-mediated autophagy and its role in the pathogenesis
摘要
Abstract
Reactive oxygen species ( ROS ) are generally small, short - lived and highly reactive molecules, and formed by incomplete one - electron reduction of oxygen. ROS act as signaling molecules involving in a variety of intracellular processes, such as proliferation, immunity and apoptosis. The intracellular excessive accumulation of ROS may cause oxidative stress, and eventually lead to cell death and to participate in the pathogenesis of many diseases. Autophagy, a process by which eukaryotic cells degrade and recycle macromolecules and organelles, plays an important role in the cellular response to oxidative stress. Here, we review the recent reports suggesting ROS of mitochondrial origin as signaling molecules in autophagy and its role in the pathogenesis.关键词
