Abstract
Objective To evaluate the short-term effect of glass fiber post and resin core immediately applied in the restoration of teeth filled with warm gutta-percha vertical condensation technique. Methods The 4-5 mm root canal apex parts of 88 teeth from 31 patients were filled with gutta-percha vertical condensation technique. Fiber posts and resin cores were bonded immediately after root canal therapy, followed by tooth preparation, impression and crown placement.Results Medium pain happened in 4 teeth within 24 h. After taking oral anti-inflammation drugs, the pain disappeared within l week. One-year follow-up visit showed no apical X-ray shadow or fiber posts loss. The survival rate was 100％.Conclusion After root canal therapy filled with warm gutta-percha vertical condensation technique, fiber posts and resin cores could immediately applied for tooth restoration. In such a way, a simpler and reliable result were achieved.关键词
