Abstract

As one of the well recognized intervention programs to improve emotional understanding, PATHS courses focus on improving the emotional cognition and recognition and try to enhance the self-control and interpersonal skills of children so as to increase their understanding of emotions. This paper introduces the basic contents of PATHS and its application effects at home and aboard, based on which, explains the main contents and outcomes of intervention courses on emotional understanding of hearing-impaired children. Based on the theory of Harris, the intervention courses propose 9 specific intervention activities from the aspects of external, internal and reflective emotion understanding. And this program proves effective in practice.
