Abstract
Objective To assess the nutritional status of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by mini nutritional assessment (MNA). Methods MNA questionnaire, anthropometric parameters and laboratory test were used to assess the nutritional status of 58 elderly patients with COPD. Results The incidences of malnutrition and malnutrition risk were 6.9％ and 60.3％ by the MNA scores, respectively. The incidences of malnutrition were 55.2％,31％ and 24.1 ％ according to the assessment of body mass index, triceps skin fold and midarm muscle circumference. respectively . The incidences of malnutrition were 13 .8 ％ , 31 ％ and 49 . 9 ％ by the assessment of prealbumin, serum albumin, lymphocyte , respectively. Conclusions There are higher incidences of malnutrition and malnutrition risk in the elderly patients with COPD. Therefore, nutritional intervene of elderly patients should be enhanced. MNA questionnaire may be used to evaluate the nutritional status of elderly patients with COPD for clinic treatment.关键词
