A Smooth-isochronic Contour Interpolation Method for Cutting the Elliptic Cross-section of Middle-convex and Varying Ellipse Piston

Abstract
This paper presents a smoothing-isochronic contour interpolation(SICI) method for cutting the elliptic cross-section of middle-convex and varying ellipse piston. It use a isochronic contour interpolation(ICI) to control the path of cutting tool. This method makes the key point of elliptic cross-section positioning accuracy; In addition,using a motion smoothing controI(MSC) method to achieve a smoothing contour curve. The experiment verifies that the dynamic position error of the mechanism is under 2 μm in SICI method.关键词
