The Theory and Method for Computing Exterior Orientation Elements of Image Based on Linear Feature

Abstract
Comparing with point feature in image, linear feature, special straight lines are easier to recognize and more flexible to do. Research on line photogrammetry is becoming an important direction of photogrammetry. Utilizing the characteristic that projection of space straight line is still a straight line in aerial imagery and combining collinearity equation, an error equation of computing exterior orientation elements based on linear feature was deduced. Computation process was also given. Finally, the result of the experiment indicated that the theory and method were feasible and credible. In conclusion, comparing with other existing methods, this method is easier to comprehend and to compute exterior orientation elements, and it is also easier to do space resectionautomatically.关键词
