摘要

Abstract

The first official release of an updated “Galileo ()pen Service Signal-In-Space Interface Control Document” (Galileo OS SIS ICD) from European Union on April 13 meant great progress of Galileo establishment from concept designing to orbit test and to system construction, which would be of great significance for the development of GNSS. Compared to GPS Interface Specification Document on LI C/A code, the ideas and characteristics in the designing on message structure and contents from Galileo OS SIS ICD were analyzed. The analysis showed that the message designing of Galileo OS not only took over the designing partly from GPS but also acquired innovation. The overall designing is open and flexible, specially, such aspects as the flow of pages, the diversity of almanac source, compatibility and interoperability, and integrity represent the development of GNSS as well as the advancement of designing ideas of GNSS. The ideas of Galileo message designing will be helpful not only for guidance to the designing of Beidou navigation message but also for the study on the interoperation between our GNSS and Galileo.
