Abstract

In order to achieve the copyright protection of digital image products, a new image fusion-based digital watermarking algorithm is built. It performs chaotic scrambling pre-treatment on fingerprint image, the encryption technology is also integrated to enhance the safety of the system. A new embedding algorithm is presented based on the characteristic of JPEG compression process, which remarkably improves the performance of the spatial domain algorithm in resisting JPEG compression. Statistical features of the fingerprint signal is processed, it avoids the exposure of the embedded position and enhances the robustness as well. The performance of the algorithm is attested by a series of subjective and objective evaluation as well as by some offensive experiments. Results derived from a large quantity of experiments prove that the digital watermarking algorithm in this work is able to embed and extract watermark efficiently from the carrier images and has a high functional value.
