Abstract
Based on the ideology of "Unified Theory" , the capacity of members should be continuous and consistent whether the section is solid or hollow, circular or polygonal, then the formula to calculate the bearing capacity should be completely unified and continuous. But existing methods can only be used for some of the section types or the formulas are discontinuous. For this reason, based on the unified formula which is established on thick-walled cylindrical theory of circle concrete filled steel tube including solid and hollow section under axial load, the bearing capacity formula is expanded to the polygonal cross section. Finally, an unified axial bearing capacity formula is obtained, which can also be applied to solid and hollow, circular and polygonal section.关键词
