摘要

Abstract

Objective To study the effect of the natural compound TIS - 12 on apoptosis of Candida albicans.Methods The morphological changes in the cells treated with TTS - 12 were shown by transmission electron micrography.The apoptosis rate was determined using annexin V and PI.Reactive oxygen species (ROS) was detected on the POLAR star Galaxy.Results TTS - 12 significantly induced C.albicans apoptosis, compared with the control group.The apoptosis rate of C.albicans was 58% at TTS - 12 concentrations of 8 μg/ml.Compared with normal cells, the apoptotic cells induced by TTS - 12 showed increased endogenous ROS generation in a dose - dependent and time - dependent manner.Conclusion TTS - 12 induces Candida albicans apoptosis by enhancing endogenous ROS generation.
