Physical condition favoring formationof marine hydrocarbon source rocks
丰富的生产力和还原性保存条件是海相烃源岩大量堆积的有利条件,其中还原性保存条件的实现在很大程度上受到边缘海海水分层这一物理作用的控制.本文列举了现代边缘海海水盐度与温度分层实例,并提出古生代华南海可能存在同样的条件,海水的深层缺氧有利于烃源岩保存.
Both tremendous productivity and anoxic condition favor formation of marine hydrocarbon source rocks. The anoxic condition could be realized in the marginal seas by a physical processwater mass delamination. For example, differences in salinity and temperature separated water mass into two layers in the Red Sea. Such a case might occur also in the Paleozoic South China.
