摘要

Abstract

Detection of phenol, 2-methylphenol, 3-methylphenol, 4-methylphenol and 2,4-dichlorophenol was carried out by laboratory-built high-field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometer (FAIMS). Separation of those compounds was enhanced by sweeping compensation voltage(CV)under different dispersion voltage(DV) values. Best separation result of 2-methylphenol and 4-methylphenol was obtained at high-field strength of 1.6 × 104 V/cm, optimum separation of remaining compounds was obtained at high-field strength larger than 1.8 × 104 V/cm. high-field mobility of those compounds was reported for the first time. Experiment results showed that the sensitivity was decreased and the resolution was usually increased by increasing high-field strength. When the highfield strength was set at 2.0×104 V/cm, the limit of detection for 2-methylphenol was 1 μg/L.
