Effect of Hydroxyapatite and Shell on Cement Hydration and Sulfate Resistance

Abstract
Coastal cement concrete engineering has been eroded for a long time, and cant achieve their expected service lives. One solution was to just cultivate the ocean living beings on the surface of cement concrete engineering to resist the corrosion. The influences of hydroxyapatite, shell powder and calcium carbonate on the durability of 42.5R ordinary Portland cement and sulphoaluminate cement were investigated. The sulfate corrosion resistance coefficients of the cement would increase to some extent when appropriate content of hydroxyapatite, shell powder and calcium carbonate were added. When the content of calcium carbonate in the sulphoaluminate cement was 10%, the corrosion resistance coefficient was 1.16; and when the content of calcium carbonate in the ordinary Portland cement was 15%, the corrosion resistance coefficient reached 1.34, the performance of resistance to sulfate attack was best.When the hydroxyapatite was added into the ordinary Portland cement and the sulphoaluminate cement,the hydration heat was lower than that of the cement containing shell powder and calcium carbonate.When the hydroxyapatite, shell powder and calcium carbonate were added into the ordinary Portland cement, each hydration heat was lower than that of the ordinary Portland cement; this was helpful for the durability of the cement concrete engineering.关键词
