Meta analysis on relationship between inflammation marker and postoperative atrial fibrillation of patients after accepting coronary bypass grafting or cardiac valve replacement

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate in comprehensive the relationship between inflammation markers including white blood cell (WBC) counts, C - reactive protein and interleukin - 6 (IL - 6) and postoperative atrial fibrillation of patients after accepting coronary bypass grafting or cardiac valve replacement through meta - analysis. Methods: Enrollment and rule - out criteria and retrieval strategies for primitive literatures had been worked out. Several Chinese - English databases had been searched. All related studies had been carried out quality evaluation. Then all data were analyzed by adopting RevMan 4. 3 software. And comprehensive effects after combination were calculated by adopting fix effect or random effect model. Results: Totally 10 studies met to the enrollment and rule - out criteria were finally analyzed. Both WBC counts and IL - 6 level of patients with postoperative atrial fibrillation were higher than that of those without postoperative atrial fibrillation. Weighted mean differences of WBC counts and IL - 6 levels were 1. 97 and 203. 43.Conclusion:Meta analysis showed postoperative enhanced WBC counts and IL - 6 levels in patients were closely related with the occurrence of postoperative atrial fibrillation. It indicated that operation itself induced inflammatory reaction may participate the occurrence and maintainance of postoperative atrial fibrillation of patients.关键词
