摘要

Abstract

Clinical manifestations and pathological changes were observed after the zehrafish were artificially infected with Edwardsiella tarda strain CD ( E. t-CD) . The results showed that the median lethal dose ( LD50) for zebrafish was 2. 69×l02 cfu/fish, and the infected fish showed bleeding, ulcers , ascites, sepsis and other symptoms. Histopathological observation showed that swelling degeneration, atrophy, necrosis and abscission in the liver cells; scattered hyperplastic nodules, congestion, edema and absence of lymphocyte in the spleen cells. The results indicated that the zebrafish could be used as the animal models for studying the pathogenicity of E. tarda.
