Abstract
Aim: To explore the expression of Skp2 protein and mRNA in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma ( ES-CC) tissue. Methods: The expression of Skp2 protein and mRN A in 49 cases of ESCC and the corresponding normal tissues were detected by immunohistochemsitry and in situ hybridization. Results: The positive rates of Skp2 protein in normal and ESCC tissues were 26.5% (13/49) and 55. 1% (27/49),those of Skp2 mRNA were 28. 6% (14/49) and 59. 2% (29/ 49) , there were significant differences between the two groups (X2protein= 4. 971 ,X2mRNA = 5. 939, P < 0. 05 ) . The positive rates of Skp2 protein and mRNA in ESCC tissue with metastasis, were higher than those without metastasis group (X2protein = 5. 883 ,X2mRNA = 7.605, P < 0.05). There were significant differences in the positive rates of Skp2 mRN A (X2 = 7.621, P = 0.022) in ESCC tissues invaded superficial muscle, deep muscle and outer membrane,but not Skp2 protein(X2 =2.441, P = 0. 295 ) . Conclusion:The abnormal expression of Skp2 protein and mRNA may be related to development, invasion and metastasis of ESCC.关键词
