3G网络中基于运动的位置更新算法研究
Research on a movement-based location-update algorithm under 3G network
摘要
Abstract
Excessive user location updates are generated due to users local movement in traditional location update algorithms. This paper analyzed the drawback of traditional movement-based location update algorithm, and proposed a new method to solve this problem. The new method improved the performance of location update algorithms through introducing two new threshold parameters. Extensive simulations based on a three-tier hierarchical mobility database structure were performed and the performance of proposed algorithm was compared with the traditional movement-based algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm decreases the number of local update messages significantly and reduces “Ping-Pong” effect efficiently.关键词
